The Lion's Share...

Hey, friends!

Abby and I have wanted to start a blog for a while now... a resource for friends and family to get the latest updates on the Stewart household. That's why I've named our blog "The Lion's Share"- we want the important people in our lives to feel like they are involved and informed in most all of the important happenings in the course of our fledgling marriage.

So, the first installment...

We have adjusted to, and are LOVING, married life. Abby and I are pros at sleeping in tandem, and it's great to spend the amount of time together that we always wished we could before marriage. Less time is spent on the courting ritual, so there is more time and energy to devote to activities that we love. It has been fun to watch the grooves that we develop in marriage. Our favorite activity, when we're feeling decadent, is sitting in bed, eating cottage cheese with Wheat Thins, and watching Arrested Development.

In two days we head off to Yellowstone for a four day camping adventure! We are bringing our shelter-puppy Brixton, who is half Boxer and half German Wirehair Pointer. Boxer's are renowned for their cuddly nature, and Brix has that trait in spades. He is adorable, with his puppy noozles. Unfortunately, he also shares another trademark of the Boxer breed-- flatulence. What a funny joke, to breed an animal that simultaneously wants to crawl under a blanket with you, and share his "puppy perfume" (term ref. "Puppies for Dummies"). Thanks for the "Dutch Oven", Brix. And yes, he's sharing the tent with us on our camping trip. More to follow.
